Overview

Sosello (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates a local marketplace available on Android, iOS, and the web. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to sosello.com, app.sosello.com, and the Sosello mobile apps.

Information we collect

• Account information. Your name, email address, and profile photo when you create an account or sign in with Google or Apple.
• Listings and messages. Photos, titles, descriptions, prices, and pickup areas you add to listings, and messages you exchange with other users.
• Approximate location. A pickup area you choose for a listing or a search area you set to browse nearby. We do not track your precise, continuous location in the background.
• Device and usage data. Basic technical data such as device type, app version, crash reports, and how you interact with the app, used to keep the service reliable and secure.

How we use your information

• To operate the marketplace: showing your listings to nearby buyers, powering search, and delivering messages.
• To keep the community safe: reviewing listings, preventing fraud, spam, and abuse, and enforcing our Terms of Service.
• To communicate with you: verification emails, security notices, and service updates.
• To improve Sosello: understanding aggregate usage so we can fix problems and build better features.

We do not sell your personal information.

How your information is shared

• With other users. Your public profile (name, photo) and your listings are visible to other users. Your email address is not shown publicly.
• With service providers. We use trusted providers to run Sosello — for example Google Firebase for authentication, databases, and hosting, and search infrastructure for listing discovery. They process data only on our behalf.
• For legal reasons. If required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of Sosello and its users.

Data retention

We keep your information while your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable period, except where we need to retain it for legitimate legal or safety reasons.

Your rights and choices

• Access, update, or correct your account information in the app at any time.
• Delete your listings and your account from account settings.
• Request a copy of your data or ask us to delete it by contacting us.

Security

We use industry-standard safeguards to protect your data, including encryption in transit and access controls. No online service is 100% secure, so please use a strong, unique password and keep your account credentials private.

Children

Sosello is not intended for children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the app or by email before the changes take effect.
